About The Role
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our Training and Coaching team at Highspot. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of artistic flair and technical prowess to the table, helping us craft software solutions that dazzle. This position requires close collaboration with teams across Product Management, Design, and Backend Engineering. A solid grasp of technologies such as React.js, React Testing Library, ESLint, Sass, Storybook, Backbone, Underscore, jQuery, JavaScript, and TypeScript is crucial. Moreover, a background in backend technologies, including REST APIs, AWS, database design, and handling scalability, will be a significant advantage.
What You’ll Do
- Develop a sophisticated learning management system utilized by sales leaders and enablement experts to design educational courses and content that support the development of sales personnel.
- Primarily focus on frontend web development, while maintaining an understanding of how features integrate fully from front to back using Highspot’s RESTful API and additional backend services.
- Occasionally pick up small backend tasks, providing a well-rounded understanding and contribution to the overall project.
- Rapidly produce beloved software by engaging collaboratively with a skilled group of Engineers, Designers, QA, and Product Managers.
- Employ excellent communication skills to demystify complex technical ideas for colleagues in Backend, Product Management, and Design.
- Seamlessly integrate the frontend web with Highspot’s external RESTful API and APIs from other partners.
- Craft clean, maintainable, well-tested, and robust code.
- Create responsive, accessible, and meticulously precise frontend user interfaces as envisioned by our design team.
- Develop and implement automated JavaScript testing, working closely with QA to ensure top-tier software quality.
- Establish and achieve benchmarks for performance, accessibility, and security.
- Tackle significant technical issues affecting customers in the production stage.
- Enhance both internal and external documentation with technical insights and guidelines.
Your Background
- Expertise in constructing interactive, cross-browser web applications using advanced frontend technologies, including a strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Knowledgeable in the consumption of RESTful APIs and basic backend systems.
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset marked by agility, creativity, resourcefulness, and persistence in solving problems and accomplishing organizational objectives.
- Comfortable leveraging modern open-source tools and technologies.
- Proven experience in the development of scalable internet software and applications, employing a variety of software paradigms, including object-oriented and functional designs.
- Extra familiarity with backend skills, including AWS, database design, and scalability management, is highly beneficial.
