Why this role matters:

A Sr. Financial Analyst runs the business modeling for the Applications Group in partnership with leaders across the organization. We capture the operating and financial drivers for the business, including the competitive and economic conditions, and build out the business forecasts/budgets. We interpret data to help management understand business performance, markets, trends and outlook. We provide critical information in support of strategic planning and investment decision making, and public company reporting. You can join our team as a Sr. Financial Analyst and be part of the CFO organization. 

Where you will work:

Flex Worker - You will have home based days, but can be required to commute to the office for collaboration, customer meetings and presentations up to 3 days a week (exact days to be agreed with your line manager).

What you will do:

  • Assist in the development of outlooks, forecasts and annual budgeting to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Timely monthly reporting of actual results with excellent variance analysis and commentary; highlighting existing and potential risks and opportunities.
  • Develop, analyze and report business unit / area expense and profitability metrics, including headcount and vendor expenses.
  • Manage headcount for the Applications Group.
  • Present results of analysis and make cost optimization and/or profitability recommendations to the team.
  • Continually improve transparency with business stakeholders into the financial data and reporting through streamlining processes and recommending improvement opportunities.
  • Work across the organization including Sales, Operations, Delivery, Accounting and Finance as needed to ensure accurate reporting and understanding of results.
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with IFRS - International Accounting Standards Board and Vonage accounting policies.
  • Prepare executive summaries of results, projections and KPIs as well as create presentation materials for leadership reviews.

What you will bring:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • Commercial or Corporate FP&A experience of 3 - 5 years required.
  • Experience with Oracle, BI (Tableau), Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS/Technology industry is preferred.

Desirable

  • Strong experience in data mining and creating financial spreadsheets, and reports displaying business performance / forecasting data.
  • Strong communication, collaborative and relationship building skills are essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to:
    • Extract statistical and informative financial data from our systems.
    • Compile, monitor, examine and audit financial statements, reports and accounts.
    • Apply analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex financial models, forecasts and scenarios.
    • Use accounting, financial reporting and related data management systems, tools and software packages.
