Who we are looking for:
As the Leader of Rover’s Growth Marketing organization, this role is responsible for scaling our new customer channel marketing strategy globally. We are looking for someone who has proven experience developing paid and non-paid growth strategies within unit economic frameworks, establishing multi-quarter and multi-year objectives, and working highly cross-functionally to deliver against the channel marketing growth goals (ideally in an online or marketplace environment). If you are a seasoned Growth Marketing leader with a track record of using data to increase the speed of customer acquisition at scale across digital and non-digital channels, this could be your dream job!
Your Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve Rover’s multi-year global channel marketing scaling strategy. Ensure key opportunities, risks, and requirements are known, understood, and owned by the right person or team across the business.
- In partnership with the SVP Global Growth, set annual, quarterly, and monthly new booking and ad spend targets for all regions. Deliver the global new bookings line every quarter. Inform Rover’s multi-year perspective on new customer growth.
- Proactively define the appropriate annual and quarterly growth-related objectives and key results for direct area of ownership. Prioritize, surface, and articulate tradeoffs as well as risks/opportunities associated with different investment decisions.
- Effectively manage a team of managers and upper and lower-funnel marketers.
- Ensure the development of appropriate reporting, so that members of the growth team and stakeholders have clear visibility to the performance of their channels and spot problems early.
- Evolve business rhythms across channels to more effectively communicate/evaluate performance and to ensure delivery of outcomes.
- Coach our upper funnel marketing team to bring rigor to the way we monitor performance of the channels and inform how we make future investments.
- Cast a vision for the growth-oriented aspects of Rover's event tracking, and drive progress toward that vision by working cross-functionally to divide and execute appropriate milestones.
- Put appropriate effort into surfacing and pursuing approaches for driving new customers that does not involve spending money.
- Own building business cases and driving alignment around prioritization of growth marketing investment recommendations, inclusive of non-ad spend recommendations.
- Work effectively with cross-functional partners to drive alignment on investment/prioritization, and hold them accountable for outcomes and performance results. Key partner organizations include Product (particularly Growth Product and SEO), Marketing Analytics, Eng Infrastructure, International, as well as G&A functions (particularly finance).
- Be the Global Growth Marketing thought leader and evangelist across the organization.
Your Qualifications:
- 10+ years building and leading high-performing channel marketing, business management, or growth product strategy teams. Marketplace experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong management experience of coaching and developing senior individual contributors and managers. Can effectively explain concepts and impact to others.
- Ability to move smoothly between high-level strategy and specific details.
- Demonstrated ability to deconstruct ambiguous growth goals and delegate appropriate KPIs to teams. Highly analytically independent.
- Demonstrated experience effectively partnering and driving to critical decisions with senior leaders and diverse functional/geographic teams to drive outcomes.
- Consistently evaluates opportunities based on business impact and cost, can effectively prioritize based on opportunity size, and drive focus.

Compensation:
- In the greater Seattle area the first-year salary range for the Senior Director role is $196,726 - $261,656 with a 20% bonus. Additionally, Rover offers a long-term incentive plan with a company performance-based cash payout and benefits to full-time employees.
- The cash compensation offered for this role will be dependent on the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and abilities as demonstrated in the interview and hiring process.
