Sr Director, Product Marketing- Prisma Cloud

Your Career

As the marketing leader for our Prisma Cloud portfolio, your team is responsible for the success of Palo Alto Networks industry-leading cloud security portfolio. This role will set the strategic direction and own the positioning for our end-to-end Prisma Cloud business, ultimately delivering customer acquisition, pipeline and thought leadership to meet our business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a product marketing leader, who can manage all aspects of marketing strategy, positioning, planning, budgets, big bets, metrics and reporting.  The role requires strong domain knowledge in cybersecurity and experience in cloud security and/or security operations. As the marketing leader for our Cloud portfolio, your team is responsible for the success of Palo Alto Networks' industry-leading Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) offerings. This role will set the strategic direction and own the positioning for our end-to-end Cloud business, ultimately delivering customer acquisition, pipeline, and thought leadership to meet our business objectives.

Your Impact

  • Own the overall marketing strategy for Prisma Cloud 
  • Deliver world-class thought leadership that elevates Prisma Cloud and Palo Alto Networks overall brand in cloud security
  • Recognize new cloud security market opportunities and influence go-to-market priorities
  • Ensure the cloud security business is positioned in a way that resonates with customers and our messaging reflects the value we bring in terms that our customers understand
  • Lead positioning for Prisma Cloud to establish a bold, differentiated point of view across all categories
  • Work closely with direct reports to develop marketing plans and evaluate key marketing initiatives as well as tentpole programs to achieve growth targets
  • Establish clear and consistent marketing performance metrics - Communicate metrics across company leadership
  • Understand our buyer personas and collaborate with sales leadership to amplify the Prisma Cloud value props and sales plays within the company

Your Experience 

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise marketing, including previous product marketing leadership experience
  • Demonstrated track record that proves deep knowledge of cloud security services and cloud-native technologies
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to simplify complex concepts and articulate uniquely differentiated value propositions to both technical and business audiences, especially in the cloud security domain
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and partnering skills - The ideal candidate possesses a blend of marketing, business, and technical cloud security savvy - a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality in an emerging or established market
  • Experience in full product lifecycle management, from business planning to launch to program management and measurement, particularly within cloud security
  • Be a good storyteller - Our marketing leaders need to be our best storytellers and inspire the rest of the company to tell the right stories, especially around cloud security innovations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence up, down, and across functionally to peers and collaborate across multiple groups
  • An MBA is highly preferred or equivalent military experience - Great communication skills and strong collaboration with product development and service delivery teams is a must

Compensation Disclosure 

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $252000 - $31500/YR. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
