Sr. Director, Product Management - Endpoint

The Basics

As a Senior Director of Product Management at Tanium, you will be responsible for the development and business success of a portfolio of Tanium products. As the lead for the Endpoint Management portfolio, you will define the product direction, collaborate with the company’s leadership team, and work with Engineering to execute towards that direction. You will be a people manager who will oversee a team of product managers towards a common goal.  As a leader in the organization, you will also help to cultivate a positive and collaborative working environment focused on continuous improvement, growth, and teamwork. 
 

 What you’ll do

  • Understand and execute Tanium’s product strategy as it pertains to the portfolio.
  • Lead the semi-annual planning process for the portfolio.
  • Partner with business stakeholders across Tanium to identify market opportunities, study the competitive landscape, prioritize, design features, and promote them on a regular basis.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable execution plans; Develop business requirements, documents, and communicate complex product initiatives to the Engineering teams.
  • Assess market trends, the competition, and the impact to the product roadmap.
  • Work with customers and various internal client-facing teams to evangelize product capabilities in various settings.
  • Liaise with clients and partners to communicate the Tanium value story.

 We’re looking for someone with

  • BA/BS degree from a leading undergraduate institution 
  • MS/MBA Preferred 

Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Management leader. 
  • Prior people leadership experience required.
  • Enterprise software experience, preferably in the security market.
  • Experience with IT operations and systems management products will be plus.
  • Professional work experience in analytical, strategic (product management, business operations, strategy), or engineering (software engineer) roles.
  • Demonstrated success in working with engineering and marketing teams to plan, develop and launch successful software products.

Other 

  • Excellent communicator with an intuition for technology and software business strategy. 
  • Intuition to identify greenfield (or neglected) markets that align with Tanium’s platform and present opportunities for rapid growth.
  • Willingness to take on firmly entrenched competitors with creative approaches to technology, and tenacious pursuit to build and grow a product’s customer base.

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 to $500,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
