Sr. Director of National Account Sales
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Sr. Director of National Account Sales will act within Pilgrim’s established business goals and objectives to plan, develop and implement strategies in pursuit of National Account business growth. Critical to this role is the ability to engage commercial chains directly and lead the work of cross-functional teams (culinary, category, etc.) This role will collaborate with the Head of Commercial Operators to create strategic, integrated customer business plans. Improving our ability to capitalize on opportunities for growth within defined customer groups and mitigate risk is core to the position. The Sr. Director – National Accounts will deliver on assigned volume and financial objectives within specified targets.
The ideal candidate will be located in the Eastern region of the US.
Responsibilities:
- Prepared Centric role, developing region to 25-50MM in Prepared business
- Develop and maintain National Chain restaurant accounts (Technomic ‘Top 100’), focusing on higher volume opportunities including becoming a supplier of core menu items, Limited Time Offers (LTO’s) leading to full-time menu placements, and innovative product introductions.
- Develop and maintain appropriate pricing and margin strategies on national chain accounts throughout the assigned region.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (culinary, R&D, category marketing, etc.) to secure profitable business partnerships with National Account chain customers.
- Coordinate with National Sales Broker’s Chain Sales team to secure National account volume, as required.
- Coordinate with broad-line Distributors’ (Sysco, US Foods, PFG, etc.) National Account teams and sales managers to secure National chain volume, as required.
- Fully utilize Pilgrim’s sales management reporting systems and tools, to ensure a full understanding of the current business.
- Sales goals/forecasts, measurements and objectives will be developed and assigned to the Account Executive on an annual basis and reviewed monthly and quarterly for performance.
- Attending industry conferences, food shows, etc. to increase and maintain industry knowledge, expertise and key contacts.
- Provide leadership and mentor other JTM sales managers through example, high energy, hard work, professionalism and results.

Qualifications:
- Ten years minimum sales experience in the food service industry, preferably within the poultry or overall protein industry.
- Key National Account relationships to drive immediate impact
- Bachelor of Science degree required.
- Extensive travel required (estimated 50%+)
- Superior planning and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
- Proficiency with computer applications required.
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $170,000 - $210,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
