ABOUT THIS JOB
Nielsen’s Corporate Platforms organization is looking for an SAP Data Warehouse developer to support our S/4 HANA and SAP ECC environments, and peripheral systems that are involved to create the current and future platform. In this role you will be a key contributor to translating requirements provided by stakeholders and providing tasks and guidance to the developers and support teams. This role will support business enhancements and strategic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SAP Data Warehouse solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and data storage strategies.
- Proficient in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and BW/4HANA, with skills in creating Info Objects, Datastore Objects (DSOs), Info Cubes, and BW queries.
- Manage data integration from various source systems into the SAP data warehouse, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Optimize data load performance and query execution in the data warehouse to ensure efficient data retrieval.
- Develop reports and dashboards using SAP BI tools to meet business reporting needs.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data warehousing and reporting solutions.
- Conduct thorough testing of data warehouse solutions, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data warehouse architectures, data models, and processes; provide training and support to end-users.
- Adhere to data governance policies and ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP data warehousing technologies and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve existing systems and processes.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU
- With your critical and strategic thinking abilities, you create opportunities to empower and enrich an essential part of our business. This role spans supporting all SAP development work for around 50 countries we support and refining unlimited complex needs for our customers, who span multiple countries, jurisdictions, and many other fascinating complexities. This role requires a solid foundation in SAP data warehousing technologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with both IT and business teams. This role also requires understanding of SAP Analytics Cloud and other visualization tools such as MS POWER BI, BOBJ etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hands-on experience with SAP BW. Certification preferred.
- At Least 2 life cycles projects from Blueprinting to Go-live. Multiple years of production support facilitating year end activities.
- 6-8 years of hands-on experience developing complex objects in SAP environments. Understanding functional areas such as procure to pay, Record to Report, Order to Cash etc. is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical, problem solving and organizational skills applied in a constantly changing fast paced environment.
- Experience working with both offshore teams as well as third party vendors preferred.
