We are looking for Sr. Data Analyst, Personalization who is excited about solving tricky data problems. You will help deploy and analyze data science models into CRM and onsite targeting through continuous experimentation and model improvement. You will be part of a centralized data analytics community that encourages collaborations, learning opportunities, and thought partnership from other seasoned analysts and data scientists. You will partner with cross-functional teams across Marketing, E-commerce, personalization, Mar-tech and other cross-functional partners to identify key metrics and attributes that contribute to profitability and growth. You will play a key role in helping the stakeholders become a world-class data and insights-driven team.
What you will do:
- Serve as data and analytics expert, process owner, motivator on a cross-functional team of Shutterfly’s Personalization initiative. Have strong interest in driving improvement in the entire process (process improvements, automation of tasks, formalized data pipelines, etc.).
- Proficient in large scale CRM and Site randomized control test and model validation test design and measurement. Capable to explain test implications and provide action items to various teams.
- Answer measurement and data integration questions: define analytics approach, retrieve, and manipulate data needed to perform analysis, and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Build and maintain domain expertise in relevant data sets and be able to think strategically about what data is critical to capture.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data analytics.
- Passionate about driving data literacy and building a positive learning environment around analytics, data science, and data visualization topics. Actively looks to mentor junior analysts and provide constructive feedback, guidance, and thought leadership.
The Skills You'll Bring:
- Working knowledge of key analytics principles such as randomized control experimentation, digital analytics, cohort analysis, etc.
- Knowledge of web instrumentation (adobe tagging) and capable to provide instrumentation requirements for key model performance tracking. Knows how to QA them.
- Excel power user; Proficient with SQL (aggregate functions, joins etc.); Python / R as a plus.
- Experience working Databricks or similar tools to retrieve, troubleshoot, and schedule data flows from multiple sources.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, data integration, and data governance best practices.
- Detail oriented with ability to independently validate and triangulate data and analysis.
- Curious about what drives business trends. Demonstrated capacity to learn on the fly.
- Understanding of standard eCommerce and performance marketing metrics.
- Experience working with enterprise data visualization tools, such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, Lookr with large and complicated datasets.
- A self-starter who takes ownership of their domain and establishes processes to organize requests into a manageable workflow.
- Great communicator who sets clear expectations and anticipates questions and concerns in advance.
- B.S. or M.S. degree in quantitative field and 6+ years of progressive experience in an analytical role. Prior personalization analytics or junior data science experiences as a plus.

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed and may not be applicable to other locations.
California : [$122,550 - 174,000]
Connecticut, New York, and Rhode Island: [$122,550 159,250]
Colorado and Washington: [$122,550 - 147,500]
Nevada: [$115,250 - 159,250]
