Sr. Cyber Resilience Architect

The Sr Cyber Resilience Architect is a key sales specialist role supporting the broader sales organization with deep technical knowledge in the focus area of the behavior of cyber attackers, survivability of data, detection and recovery from cyber attack, all without re-introducing the attacker and while minimizing downtime. This means working with customers and prospects to educate them on the unique differentiators of Rubrik in the market as it pertains to reducing their cyber recovery time, how these compare against competing backup solutions, and importantly where they fit into their existing security strategy and tooling. 

Additionally, this role will be responsible for running all major Proof Of Value (POV) trials of Rubrik’s cyber current and future capabilities, providing real world feedback to the product teams for enhancements, ensuring successful completion and proof of significant differentiation back to the customer and the sales team in order attain a technical win in every trial. 

The Sr Cyber Resilience Architect will provide both immediate and long term impact with their technical knowledge and position of influence within the Rubrik SE community, but also with our partners, customers and prospects.

What You'll Do:

  • Create, customize and deliver knock-out presentations to fit the needs of the customer for the upsell of enterprise edition or to a prospect on why they need these capabilities in order to recover faster than the competition from a ransomware attack.
  • Masterful execution of the demonstration of the complete cyber capabilities of Rubrik including anomaly detection, sensitive data discovery, threat hunting, threat monitoring and orchestrated recovery.
  • Execute the cyber capability element in all POVs including setting required capabilities, preparation of the environment, successful execution of the tests by leading the customer and synthesizing the results back to the customer and account team in order to ensure the technical win from a cyber perspective
  • Be a thought leader within the Rubrik SE community and a known must have resource in any deal where cyber capabilities are either presented, demonstrated, tested, or all 3
  • Predominantly work remotely covering North America (NAM) with around 20% travel for on-site meetings, internal training and external marketing events as required.
  • Will be expected to cover ad-hoc calls outside your region and timezone as a team player of not just the cyber team, but as a Rubrik employee
  • Consistently go above and beyond by leading by example and not waiting for other people when you can get it done faster in order be the differentiator in every deal vs the competition

Required Capabilities & Experience:

  • Deep working knowledge of both Rubrik on-premises (Rubrik Secure Vaults) and in-cloud & SaaS (Rubrik Security Cloud).
  • The ability to defend & justify the Rubrik Security Cloud SaaS control pane, especially as it pertains to a cyber incident.
  • Completed at least 3 successful POVs, each with POV summary slides, metrics and values that have won the deal vs the competition
  • Strong working knowledge of the general capabilities, use cases for and gaps between security tools  including but not limited to endpoint protection, firewalls, network security, SIEM and SOAR.
  • Strong knowledge of sensitive data discovery tools and methods like regex and pattern based detection and competitors like Varonis.
  • Strong knowledge of common methods of ransomware attackers methods of intrusion, exfiltration, persistence and attack techniques.
  • Consistently keeps up to date with the latest gangs, major attacks, and studies them in detail to better understand how Rubrik can help mitigate the recovery impact of such an attack if asked by a prospect.
  • Strong working knowledge of the following minimum technologies:
    Windows & Linux Operating Systems, VMware vSphere, Active Directory, PowerShell (for customizing & execution of ransim scripts)
  • Experience in using, selling or competing against VMware SRM or Zerto is a bonus



The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; this role is also eligible to earn commissions pursuant to the Company’s written Incentive Compensation Plan. Additionally, the role is eligible for equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US (SF Bay Area, DC Metro, NYC) Pay Range
$160,000$196,000 USD
