Pinterest brings millions of people the inspiration to create a life they love. We’re looking for an inspiring lawyer to join us. We're a small and nimble commercial/product legal team supporting a growing business, so you'll cover a lot of ground. In this role, your primary focus will be supporting our global monetization products and negotiating related strategic partnerships. You’ll be a subject matter expert and influential advisor to the senior leadership team. You’ll contribute to the company’s most high-profile initiatives, and work with a dynamic team on cutting edge issues.
What you’ll do:
- Negotiate and provide ongoing legal support for strategic partnerships and collaborations with some of the industry’s biggest players, as well as provide day-to-day product and business counseling for Pinterest’s ad products.
- Partner with our strategy, business development, engineering, product management, communications and legal teams to identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of product development, and become embedded with those teams to provide pragmatic and strategic advice as the product evolves.
- Develop and drive implementation of practical measures to mitigate risk, increase speed and efficiency, and advance the long-term goals of Pinterest.
What we’re looking for:
- JD with 8+ years relevant work experience in a demanding and innovative legal environment; at least 1 year in-house at a tech company preferred.
- Experience working on issues related to digital advertising technology, including global data privacy, data protection, and platform regulations.
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex technology deals.
- Proven ability to pick up new areas of law and technical product understanding.
- Track record of business- and solutions-oriented counseling and creative problem solving.
- Exceptional judgment and impeccable integrity with excellent communication and client-service skills.
- Eagerness to learn with a strong desire to embrace an entrepreneurial, flexible, and collaborative working style.
- Experience leading and multitasking on competing projects and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
