Sr Consumer Insights Analyst

The Sr Consumer Insights Analyst will play an integral role in shaping the future of sweetgreen by using customer data and analytics to empower a customer-obsessed mindset in the organization. This role will work closely with key stakeholders on the Marketing team, as well as cross-functionally with the Culinary, Product Design, Strategy and Operations teams. They will help dissect business problems and tackle them objectively through the lens of our customer. This role will take ownership of voice of the customer metrics (such as brand health and CX ratings), while also partnering closely with our Loyalty team to track and report on key data trends related to the Sweetpass program. Additionally, they will collaborate cross-functionally to analyze menu performance and inform demand planning throughout the testing process and launching of new products on the menu. The Sr Consumer Insights Analyst will report into the Consumer Insights Lead within the Marketing team. As the Sr Consumer Insights Analyst, you will: 

  • Track menu performance, at both a category and item-specific level, to identify trends and opportunities for optimization. Prepare a quarterly report in collaboration with the Consumer Insights Lead to deliver to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Insights Lead on reporting out key menu performance metrics – for new product tests and fleetwide launches – cross-functionally. Utilize querying languages such as Tableau and SQL to run specific data analyses. 
  • Work closely with our Loyalty team to establish key reporting metrics on the efficacy of the Sweetpass program and take ownership of a dashboard to track important trends over time. Act as the point person for additional data-specific requests in support of our Loyalty team.
  • Partner with the Culinary, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to inform our demand planning process based on a combination of historical data, sales forecasts, and customer insights. Support both isolated product tests and fleetwide launches.
  • Act as the internal owner of voice of the customer metrics – combining first party data, customer insights, and CX data – to generate a holistic view of customer sentiment and tracking trends over time. Partner with the broader Marketing team to create a synthesized approach for cross-functional adoption. 
  • Support the Consumer Insights Lead with further data and insights inquiries received from across the organization.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Desired Traits & Experience:

  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, or other querying languages
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative discipline like statistics, mathematics, economics or social science with strong data background
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience at a consumer / retail brand, quantitative research agency, or strategy consultancy
  • Experience with data and analytics systems such as Snowflake, Thoughtspot
  • Ability to present data analysis in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management
  • Proficient time management, task management, and project prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Starting salary range based on experience
$73,000$93,000 USD
