We are currently seeking to add a Sr. Civil Water Resources Engineer to our dynamic team in Issaquah, Washington. 

$115,000 to $175,000 annually, full-time, with benefits, and flexibility for a hybrid schedule. 

Ready to take your career to the next level? Interested in leading a dynamic team in the Puget Sound area? We’re looking for a Sr. Water Resources Engineer to join our Water Resources Practice supporting private and municipal projects throughout Oregon and Washington. This role will actively lead and participate in the development of business opportunities and lead-assist in the production of project deliverables. Working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, and environmental scientists you will oversee and deliver diverse projects including; infrastructure improvements, surface water management, sanitary sewer, flood control, fish passage, and stream restoration projects. Your leadership skills will assist, guide, and mentor junior staff to provide a foundation for business growth in the Pacific Northwest.  

QUALIFICATIONS 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in civil engineering or related field 
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Washington, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. 
  • 7-15 plus years of experience in project planning, and management of the design, and production of plans, specification, and construction cost estimates for general civil, municipal, and private infrastructure or water resources projects,
  • Construction administration and construction support experience,
  • Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic design software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMMM, and WWHM/HSPF 
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Civil3D, and/or MicroStation/Inroads 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Valid driver’s license  

Desirable Qualifications 

  • Understanding of Oregon and Washington state and local industry rules and regulations.  
  • Understanding of Oregon and Washington State Department of Transportation design standards and Oregon and Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife guidelines 
  • Water system design experience using EPAnet or similar,
  • Experience with GIS applications 
  • Experience with hydraulic design software SRH-2D 

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Project management for civil engineering and design projects 
  • Lead marketing positioning, tracking, and pursuits   
  • Lead and provide design expertise 
  • Develop project deliverables  
  • QA/QC other’s work for completeness, accuracy, and compliance 
  • Monitor budgets and schedules  
  • Interface regularly with clients 
  • Mentorship and training of junior staff within the Water Resources group
