General Description:
Looking for an experienced CAD/PDK engineer who can provide tool support and automation solutions for custom semiconductor layout designs. Responsibilities also include developing and supporting Process Design Kits (PDK) for R&D technologies. Custom and/or process development layout (or physical design) experience in addition is highly desired.
Essential Duties:
Help develop PDK for low maturity technologies. Understand existing layout methodologies and help improve them by incorporating industry best practices and/or developing new capabilities. Add schematic and LVS elements to design/layout along with other PDK aspects as technologies continue to mature.
Required Skills:
10+ years relevant industry experience
Proficiency in Cadence and other Industry standard layout tool support (e.g. Virtuoso, Assura, Calibre, etc.)
Proficiency in SKILL and/or other relevant scripting languages for automation
Proficient in both Linux and Windows environments
PDK development
Debug skills with environment and setup issues
Good communication skills (both verbal and written) for cross-discipline co-ordination
Strong attention to details
Custom layout skills desired
Required Education:
B.S. or M.S. degree with a major in EE, CS or related science/engineering field.
Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Active SSBI is a big plus.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 + bonus + benefits.
