Our client, a leading utilities consulting firm is seeing a seeking a Business Analyst to join their team and provide support for an infrastructure client.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to get their hands dirty, understand details along with the big picture. Strong understanding of the telecom industry, including the latest trends and technologies - ideally in areas such as Satellite, Fibre and Fixed Wireless Networks is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate the technical requirements of the program into technical procurement documents such as RFP technical requirements, RFP technical evaluation criteria and framework.
- Interface between the technical/commercial team and procurement team to ensure alignment and understanding of technical requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for ICT equipment and services.
- Evaluate supplier proposals from both a commercial and technical standpoint.
- Monitor market trends and be on top of the things to ensure that products/services comply with the necessary standards for quality and sustainability.
Skills & Requirements
- Proven experience in ICT and procurement.
- Strong understanding of the ICT (specifically telecom industry, including the latest trends and technologies - ideally in areas such as Satellite, Fibre and Fixed Wireless Networks).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear and concise procurement documents.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to understand enough about the technical requirements that they can translate them into procurement friendly language.
- Very strong collaboration skills, with the ability to get busy people (who are easily distracted) to pay attention long enough to get their buy in.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage concurrent priorities and time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
