Sr Application Software Developer UI

Primary Function of Position

As a Sr. Application Software Developer - UI, you will work with a dedicated team to enhance our Aperture platform, enabling Field Service Engineers to service our systems more efficiently. In this role, you will design, implement, and test complex software that allows field engineers to perform and document tasks such as error analysis, part replacement, calibration, and preventive maintenance. Our team frequently interacts with end users, witnessing firsthand the impact of our work on their daily lives, and enjoys the flexibility to drive innovative improvements.

Essential Job Duties

• Engage directly with stakeholders to develop software that is both functional and user-friendly.
• Impact how users interact with our software, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Develop test platform software to support the distribution, execution, and record-keeping of software used to service our robots in the field.
• Work in a collaborative multidisciplinary setting to drive high level changes and solve deep technical issues independently.
• Design and refine interfaces between service software components

Required Skills and Experience

• Expert level knowledge of Python
• Expert level knowledge of Qt/QML
• Experience developing desktop applications for Windows
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders

Required Education and Training

• Minimum BSc degree in Computer science or adjacent technical field with 8 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD degree with 3 years of experience.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience building service tools
• Experience with Linux
• Experience with JavaScript
• Knowledge of C++ and Matlab
• Experience with Linux and test automation tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience with AWS S3, MongoDB, and/or SQL.
