Sr. Analytics Manager- Audience Analysis

Newsweek is actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sr. Analytics Manager with a focus on Audience Analysis to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing audience analysis strategies, utilizing a range of tools including Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Comscore, and SimilarWeb. Your insights will play a critical role in guiding our media organization’s content strategies, audience development, and overall business growth. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Audience Analysis & Insights:
  • Develop and implement audience analysis strategies to identify key demographics, behaviors, and trends.
  • Utilize Google Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Comscore, and SimilarWeb to gather, analyze, and interpret data related to audience engagement, content performance, and market positioning.
  • Create detailed reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Work closely with content, marketing, and product teams to provide data-driven insights that enhance audience engagement and retention.
  • Data Management & Strategy:
  • Oversee the collection, integration, and maintenance of audience data from multiple sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different platforms and tools.
  • Develop and refine metrics and KPIs to measure audience growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, product development, and executive leadership to align audience analysis initiatives with business goals.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership to influence strategic decisions.
  • Tool Utilization & Optimization:
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of Google Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Comscore, and SimilarWeb.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools to continuously enhance audience analysis capabilities.
  • Optimize the use of current tools and recommend new tools and methodologies as needed.

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, with at least 3 years focused on audience analysis within the media industry.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Comscore, and SimilarWeb.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
  • Experience leading a team and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of media industry trends and audience behavior.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with other analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and metrics.
  • Familiarity with SQL or Python for advanced data analysis.

 

Salary Expectations: $120,000- $150,000+ commensurate with experience
