Our Associate program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization’s success while at the same time applying learnings from the classroom. This semester we will continue with a hybrid program and will offer each participant the opportunity to gain in-office experience for approximately 3-days a week. Associates are responsible for their individual transportation and housing needs. 

 

Associate Expectations:

All Associates are expected to work 24-29.9 hours a week during the session. While each Associate will be working with a specific division, they will have the opportunity to learn about other areas within Excel, through lunch and learns held throughout the semester. 

 

Important Dates:  

Our Spring Program runs from Monday, January 13, 2025 through May 2025.

 

Office Hours:  

  • 9:00 am‐6:00 PM ET, Monday-Friday OR as agreed upon with advisor.  Days in office must be coordinated with Advisor’s schedules. 

 

Our Associates must: 

  • Be available to work under 30 hours per week. 
  • Be available to report to the New York office approximately 3-days a week. 
  • Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad) 

OR 

  • Be enrolled in a graduate school 

OR 

  • Have a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree.  

 

Interview Process:  

  • Applications will close on November 15th, 2025
  • If selected, the expectation is that offers will be extended end of November.
  • The program will begin on January 13th, 2025.

 

Golf Events Associate Expectations: 

  • Supports Golf and Golf Events team across a variety of projects, including LPGA Tournaments, Made For TV golf events, and client support
  • Support with sponsorship fulfillment, sourcing and tracking sales outreach, creating sales decks and updating existing sales materials
  • Assist with general administrative work and tournament services related duties
  • Develop ideas for fan enhancements, hospitality products, and sponsorship categories
  • Assist with tournament ticketing and credential fulfillment
  • Assist with the management and data upload/tracking of sponsor deliverables
  • Assist with tournament player communication (Tournament Fact Sheet, responding to player inquiries, etc.)
  • Assists Golf team with marketing opportunity research
  • Assists Golf team with sales pitch preparation
  • Will gain exposure across the golf industry including tournament operations and overall strategy in developing and executing a professional golf event
  • Will gain exposure to and experience from golf agents and marketing managers; 
  • Will have the opportunity to participate in sales calls and brand brainstorms;  
  • Will have access to the Excel team for industry advice and learnings; 
  • Will develop skills necessary to effectively research prospect companies and sales leads
  • May occasionally be assigned projects outside the Golf group to gain exposure to other divisions within Excel
  • Will be asked to travel for event work and provide on-site support for events outside of normal business hours

 

The pay for this position is: $16.50 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
