NYC Alliance Company LLC is seeking a talented Branded & Denim Design Director to join our team, overseeing the Juicy Couture and FRYE brands. As the Branded & Denim Design Director, you will be responsible for leading the creative direction of the brands' branded and denim collections, ensuring that the designs align with their respective aesthetics and target markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the design concept and strategy for the branded and denim collections
- Create innovative and trend-forward designs that resonate with the target customers
- Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance and feedback to ensure the highest quality designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and marketing to ensure cohesive brand messaging
- Stay updated on current market trends, fabrics, and techniques, and incorporate this knowledge into the design process
- Oversee the development of tech packs, spec sheets, and other necessary documents for production
- Participate in fittings and provide feedback on garment construction and fit
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design, with a focus on branded and denim collections
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of designers
- Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and the ability to create designs aligned with brand identity
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, and manufacturing processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- The offered salary for this position will vary based on role requirements determined by NYC Alliance, skill set and years of experience.
