Sports Data Analyst - Live Data Product

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a hands-on Data Analyst to join our Live Data Product Unit at Sportradar who will turn sports, performance and business data into useful insights and inform business decisions. Your key responsibility will be ensuring that Sportradar’s globally delivered Live Data Product services consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and Service Level Agreements, i.e. around speed, accuracy, consistency, richness & relevance of sports data. Among others, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and continuously evolving a KPI framework across 30+ sports, inspecting at various stages in production and writing reports on findings with actionable insights. You will proactively analyse, evaluate and steer Live Data Product Performance so that Live Data Product continuously improves its measurability and standards against the competition. You will also help to predict and measure the impact of key product development deliveries. In this case the role would interact with business data.

THE CHALLENGE:

  • Get a deep understanding of the data and demonstrate critical thinking when organizing data
  • Develop, analyse and evolve Live Data Product KPIs in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assess the validity of source data and subsequent findings
  • Create useful insights and trending data for informed business decisions
  • Predict and measure impact of business decisions
  • Provide actionable recommendations to continuously improve the product metrics and its cost efficiency
  • Develop data standards, policies, and procedures
  • Analyse and define data requirements and specifications
  • Visualise your findings and present reports to stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI development and tracking across diverse data sets
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities for both internal and external stakeholders
  • A detail-oriented and collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering top-tier data services across the sports industry
  • Efficient in using outlier identification and removal techniques
  • Ability to identify hidden patterns or relationships
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as
    • Excel to analyse smaller data sets
    • QlikSense, Tableau Desktop or Power BI to visualise data
    • SQL to interact with database
    • Considered a plus: Python or R language to build models for predictions
