Position Summary

As a Specialist - Payments Disputes you will be managing the whole process of investigating disputed credit and/or debit card transactions and then take suitable actions to resolve those disputes and reflect them in our accounting systems. This role should be up to date with the latest scheme rules and regulations and propose potential improvements in current processes.

You will be located in Athens and will be part of the Risk Management team within the Fintech department.

Responsibilities

Disputes Function:

  • Manage chargeback reports sent by payment service providers
  • Communicate with payment service providers to resolve filed disputes
  • Perform the data entry of relevant information in company's tools
  • Cooperate with Customer Care to manage disputed reservations
  • Provide feedback to other departments involved, targeting to optimize customer experience and fraud prevention
  • Be constantly updated with scheme regulations and best practices

Reconciliation Function:

  • Insert records of chargebacks (loss & revenue) in accounting systems
  • Monitor exceptions and propose improvements in existing procedures
  • Verify, reconcile and correct General Ledger accounts, related to chargebacks
  • Process adjustments, reversals and changes
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • Handle providers’ reports and follow-up on financial losses related to disputed reservations

Requirements

  • 2-4 years former work experience in a similar role (either function), preferably in the online payments area
  • University degree, preferably in a finance or economics related field
  • Knowledge of Scheme Regulations
  • Hands on experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures
  • Advanced experience with MS office (especially excel)/ Familiarity with reporting solutions (e.g. Qlikview, Looker, Python etc.) will be highly appreciated
  • Strong numerical & organizational skills combined with business understanding
  • Data driven/360 view thinking along with strong critical, analytical and investigation skills
  • An additional language, especially Korean, would be an asset.
  • Self-motivated with ability to take ownership in a fast growing environment
  • Ability to act proactively, take initiatives and pay attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, can-do approach & excellent command of the English language
  • High level of responsibility & integrity combined with eagerness to work in a multicultural, international environment subject to continuous changes
