The Role

Our Financial Crimes team navigates through a fast-paced environment and knows how to switch gears to adapt to any scenario. They’re motivated team players who want to make things better, simpler, and stronger. The Specialist, Fraud Operations is dedicated to the prevention, detection and reporting of financial crime activity to protect Neo and its customers.

What you’ll be doing

• You’ll sift through data, alerts, and reporting to find patterns of unusual behavior in transactions that could indicate suspicious activity
• You’ll translate these patterns of activity into ad-hoc strategies to block and prevent fraudulent activity
• You’ll review suspicious events and identify where additional information is required to onboard customers
• You’ll investigate escalations from the Customer Experience team to identify instances of fraud and financial crimes

What we are looking for

• You have 2 years of experience in fraud and financial crime detection in the financial industry
• You are intellectually curious, and enjoy asking questions to identify the root cause of problems
• You’re capable of visually identifying and communicating patterns that do not fit known event patterns
• You’re highly analytical, have a strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to tackle complex problems
• You’re adept with intermediate computer systems and engines, and you’re keen to learn new tools
• You enjoy trying to think as criminals do in order to best defend against them
