Job Summary:
Payroll Specialist is responsible for executing the organization's payroll activities, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. This role involves payroll preparation, completing reports maintaining payroll records, assisting in ad hoc project and additional payroll works when request.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Work with vendor for preparation and distribution of the company's payroll, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Stay updated on changes to laws and regulations that affect payroll processes.
Reporting: Work with payroll vendor for preparing accurate payroll reports to direct manager for review and approval, including payroll summaries, tax liabilities, tax returns (quarterly and annually) and other payroll related reports as required, and ensure timely submission of all statutory filing and payroll taxes filing.
Systems knowledge: Strong in Excel (data analysis, reporting, and payroll calculations) and words, experience on Workday and ADP Celergo is an advantage. Work with HR teams and other departments to ensure data in HR system and vendor’s system is integrated and functioning properly.
Audits and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy. Work with Finance and other department to reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Employee Relations: Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees. Provide excellent customer service and support to employees regarding payroll matters.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate payroll processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Develop and document payroll procedures and policies.
Ad hoc project: Assistance in any ad hoc project to be assigned when request.
Work as team : You will be under a team of performing APAC payroll, and you may be requested to work with team mates to perform additional works other than India payroll.
Experience : 7+ years of experience in India end-to-end set payroll processing
Additional as advantage : Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines; Strong in Excel (data analysis, reporting, and payroll calculations); Experience on Workday and ADP Celergo
