The Distributive Organizer will be a key player in managing and executing direct voter contact plans, including phone banking and text banking. This role requires a strong command of various tech programs, experience in managing diverse teams, and a deep commitment to progressive values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong command of technology and experience with peer-to-peer texting platforms (e.g., Spoke, ThruText, Hustle) or similar.
- Proficient in data entry and management, with experience in electoral or issue campaign tactics and messaging.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups, including across race, gender, and class.
- Commitment to progressive politics and belief in leadership development through project ownership and success.
- Reliable access to strong wifi and good phone reception.
- At least 1 cycle of electoral experience.
- Creative thinking: Demonstrated ability to create unique solutions to problems, works well with others to develop new and creative strategies for volunteer recruitment and management.
- Strong Project Management: The ability to work well with a diverse group of people, coordinate multiple participants to engage in collaborative projects to meet deadlines. Ability to manage several moving pieces in a fast paced environment while bringing people together to take action in support of Working Families candidates and causes.
- Ability and willingness to work nontraditional hours. This role will include Saturday canvass events and activities as well as evening hours during the weekdays
- Ability to learn new systems: Ability to execute and track direct voter contact including but not limited Moblize, Scale to Win, Slack, Signal.
What Else Should You Know
- Compensation: The hourly pay for this role will be determined based on our Pay Scale, which takes into consideration years of experience, geographic location, and final job description. The hourly pay for this position is $24.66 an hour.
- Location and Travel: This is a remote position within the Metro Atlanta area. You may need to travel for major events and all staff meetings.
- Schedule: The position is temporary and part time, ending November 8, 2024.
