Sourcing Leader (Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia)

We are Allegro - the largest online marketplace of European origin, currently operating in Poland, Czechia, and Slovakia. Right now, we plan to grow - therefore, we are looking for a new colleague who will be tasked with bringing new business opportunities, acquiring new partners, and providing them with the best client experience possible in Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. What will your new role involve?

  • Managing  Key Account Management Team responsible for proactive sourcing & acquisition of new merchants to our marketplace platform

  • Maintaining the portfolio of existing merchants to ensure the performance expectations and country metrics are met (GMV, Price, Selection, Key & international brand acquisition, and Campaign sourcing).

  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key partners (merchants) and brands within given categories

  • Implementing the given category's commercial plan for sourcing key vendors

  • Co-creating and enforcing merchant development plans in the category, including promotions, commercial campaigns, etc.

  • Monitoring the growth of key merchants and identifying initiatives to support their development and help their business thrive

  • Providing insights on relevant changes to key partners by working with the training team to educate and support merchants in the category

  • Working closely with the Category Owners, DEX / Merchant Teams, Customer Experience (CEX), Legal, and Commerce teams to optimize solutions and build a comprehensive knowledge of the tools available and how they can be used

What skills will help you to excel in this role?

  • Advanced level of English (C1); Hungarian, Slovenian or Croatian language is not required, but will be a huge advantage

  • Sales/business development experience (preferably in e-commerce)

  • Substantial knowledge of the South markets and its specifics in terms of e-commerce (largest players and brands, potential partners, etc.)

  • Ability to manage an international sales team

  • Proven track record of business development, acquisitions, account management and negotiation experience

  • Great communication skills and networking 

  • Adaptability and flexibility - e-comm is a dynamic business, so things may change rapidly
