Solutions Architect - NEC Digital

Primary Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Head of Technology to design solutions required for customer projects, documenting requirements, and designing the architecture of applications.

· Identify and address issues with existing architectures, proposing innovative solutions to meet client needs.

· Participate in bid calls and interact with the sales process, providing technical input and expertise to support successful bids.

· Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

· Effectively communicate technical concepts and issues to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding across all parties.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

· Strong technical proficiency in modern web applications and SaaS platforms hosted in Public Cloud.

· Excellent technical writing skills, with the ability to document requirements and design architectures effectively.

· Good Knowledge of data modelling, database design principles and data integration techniques.

· Experience working in the public sector, with a strong understanding of government processes and requirements.

· Ability to obtain Security clearance is required for this role.

 - Personally, you must be confident and comfortable to be left to solve problems self sufficiently, and work autonomously, as well as part of the wider remote team .

Preferred Experience:

· Certification in AWS or other cloud platforms is highly desirable.

· Experience working in a customer-facing role, interacting directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

· Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR and Cyber Essentials.

· Have worked at the architectural level, however, coming from a developer/software background.
