Role

Solution Consultants at First Focus combine their broad comprehension of IT products and services with the ability to build a deep rapport that opens doors. It's a perfect role for anyone looking for variety, challenges and career progression as you'll be taking responsibility for getting Australia's best small and medium sized businesses into the same room as Australia's #1 IT Managed Service Provider.

You will work within our Growth department, supported by our Marketing team and our Professional Services team to build relationships and attract new business.

This role would perfectly suit someone who is currently a Sales or Business Development professional within an IT business. Ideally you will have worked within a business that delivers complex IT solutions and services or provided multiple distinct IT services to a range of customers. You will have the history we are need if your central responsibility there was opening doors and bringing on new small and medium business clients. Your relentless drive to succeed and hunger for personal growth will be coupled with outstanding communication skills and a genuine warmth and interest in the wellbeing of the businesses you communicate with.

Requirements

To suit this role, you will have substantial experience working with a range client scales (sub 50 up to 500 seats) and possess broad technical understanding across a range IT infrastructure products and services paired with deep commercial competence and familiarity with clients in our ideal size and scale.

Your high level of business acumen and ability to speak confidently to C-level contacts will be apparent from the very first moment someone talks to you. Because of your in-depth understanding of IT support, cyber security practices and related tech services (consulting, software development, SharePoint, etc), you will be able to pair tech services to business problems/opportunities. You will also have substantial experience evaluating and responding to RFPs, and be able to work with other stakeholders in the business to ensure we deliver best-in-class responses.

If you at the top of your game in a MSP, IT services vendor or integrator and are looking for the next big step, this could be it. Rather than give you a long list of wants, we'll keep this brief. The following four things are non-negotiables:

  1. You must have history and demonstrable competence delivering outstanding support and advice within another MSP, IT services vendor, integrator or MSSP
  2. You must be able to demonstrate success opening new doors with small to mid scale clients across a range of industries and market verticals
  3. Your values must resonate with ours. Our values can be found on the First Focus website on the About Us page
  4. You must have a driving passion for helping people understand and use technology within their business that leads you to easily identify opportunities and/or problems potential clients are experiencing and pair them with our solutions.

This role will be made easier if you have solid experience tracking your progress in a modern CRM and if you have exposure to Hubspot, make sure to let us know.

Duties

Inbound

  • Monitoring leads channel (phone calls/Slack) and responding as required
  • Leading prospect discovery and workshop meetings
  • Creation and delivery of RFP responses and proposals
  • Managing lead workflow using ConnectWise and HubSpot
  • Owning onboarding handover to ensure Super Green onboarding experience for new clients

Outbound

  • Establishing and nurturing referral ecosystem
  • Working with events team to drive attendance by potential clients
  • Working with our Community Manager to follow up on various initiatives
  • Attending First Focus and industry events as/when required
