Job Summary:
The Solution Architect is responsible for mastering the ins and outs of our software so that a solution can be achieved that meets the customer’s vision. In this role, the Solution Architect will participate in the scoping process and then transfer that knowledge to the Professional Services team. The Solution Architect will help shape our deployment playbooks while participating and developing best practices, packaged solutions, and standard libraries that instill efficiency and effectiveness within our deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage domain, product and customer expertise to architect solutions for deployment
- Understand customer requirements and how best to satisfy them through the product
- Deep understanding of business requirements to design a solution to meet customer needs
- Effectively look for opportunities to establish best practices, packaged solutions and standard libraries for efficient deployments
- Partner with Sales in the scoping process to align on solution design prior to implementation
- Mentor project team members by educating them on best practices, unique customer use cases, and the creative ways that solutions will need to be architected
- Guide the project team through the deployment based on the customer solution
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the customer and the project team to ensure the customer vision is realized and understood
- Manage customer expectations and drive adoption of the solution through change management
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to productize proven packaged solutions
- Work with key stakeholders across multiple local and state governments as a thought leader
- Architect scalable solutions to configuration challenges
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years working within government to manage/deploy technology projects and/or working in government technology deploying in a SaaS environment preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proven ability to understand and engage with the full deployment lifecycle including Sales, PS, and Support
- Deep government expertise to understand user requirements and use cases, including understanding the differences in terminology and regulatory contexts across jurisdictions
- Excellent customer facing skills with the ability to explain technical items to non-technical users
- Practical leadership and management skills to gain alignment on solutions
- Proven history of leading key initiatives that drive change and ensure adoption
- An excellent understanding of architectural principles of cloud-based platforms
- Extra strong creative problem solving and analytical thinking to solve complex problems
- Extra strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentations, writing, and visual communication through graphics
- Ability to lead customer facing sessions that result in a clear understanding of the requirements and how the solution will meet their requirements
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing product and respond strategically to customer needs
- Excellent cross functional communication skills to ensure alignment and execution
