The Role
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Solution Architect (SA) to join our team. In this role, you will be accountable for the technical alignment, health, capability, and effectiveness of SEEK’s corporate systems. You will work closely with teams across the business to deliver strategic technology solutions that support SEEK’s objectives. The purpose of the Business Enablement squad within the Platform Architecture team is to develop and implement an architectural strategy that effectively supports SEEK's business processes and operations, while enhancing engagement and productivity for all team members.

About The Team

The Architecture function at SEEK consists of two key domains: 

Platform Architecture Domain : Support the efficient and effective delivery of SEEK’s Product and Business objectives by designing platform capabilities that can be easily leveraged across the organisation.

Customer Architecture Domain : Enable the efficient and effective achievement of SEEK’s OKRs and customer value by developing and aligning the architecture strategy for the end-to-end customer journey with product objectives and ambitions.

As a Solution Architect, you will:

  • Provide strategic guidance on SEEK’s future state and contribute to the design and implementation of complex technology solutions aligned with SEEK’s business strategy.
  • Lead the architectural strategy for key corporate systems, including finance, HR, and workplace technology.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including Principal Architects, Heads of Architecture, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and key stakeholders within the business.
  • You will partner closely with Corporate Services Technology Team, ERP Technology and Workday Functional teams, Finance and HR business stakeholders, Technology teams including security, data, platforms, enterprise services.
  • Lead architecture initiatives that involve technologies like Workday, Oracle, payroll, Office 365, Slack, Atlassian, Zoom, and more.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the business to deliver roadmaps, strategies, and architecture solutions that are reliable, resilient, and cost-effective.
  • Drive continuous improvement by mentoring and coaching technical leaders and ensuring the development of best practices within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive architecture solutions across multiple areas such as ERP, HR, Finance, Workplace Technology, and integrations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, including Product and Engineering Managers, and other technical teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Technology Roadmap: Contribute to defining SEEK's technology roadmap strategy and oversee its execution, ensuring compliance with tech standards and policies.
  • Architecture Leadership: Lead the technical design and ensure systems meet both functional and non-functional requirements while supporting scalability and resilience.
  • Vendor Landscape Expertise: Leverage knowledge of the vendor landscape across workplace technology, making informed decisions for system implementation.
  • Mentorship: Drive architectural growth by mentoring teams, fostering knowledge sharing, and ensuring the adoption of best practices.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on corporate systems including ERP, P&C/HR, Finance, and Workplace Technology.
  • Expertise in understanding the vendor landscape and optimizing technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to define functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Deep experience in solution architecture spanning applications, integrations, reports, data, security, environments, test automation, and release management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to manage the end-to-end solution delivery process, from strategy and design to execution.
