We are currently seeking an experienced Software Release and Fielding Engineer SME in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).The Software Release and Fielding Engineeris responsible for defining and documenting the product release and fielding process, ensuring alignment across a large and diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

They will facilitate communication and coordination of process requirements, overseeing execution to ensure all release and fielding activities follow established guidelines. Additionally, they will manage stakeholder engagement, maintain program documentation, and track task completion to ensure successful software releases. 

Responsibilities

  • Define and document the product Release and Fielding (R&F) process. 
  • Conduct process mapping of R&F activities. 
  • Facilitate communication of R&F process requirements to all suppliers and IPT members. 
  • Coordinate functional and performance requirements across 160+ internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Coordinate the execution of the R&F process at the program management (PM) level. 
  • Oversee the execution of all R&F tasks to ensure compliance with the documented process. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements. 
  • Facilitate and integrate various software release and fielding efforts. 
  • Maintain and execute a robust Stakeholder Management Plan for coordination across multiple organizations and individuals. 

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • A Bachelors degree from an ABET accredited program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from a college or university.  
  • A Masters degree in any of the preceding disciplines may be substituted for one year of general experience.  
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Project/Program Management in the acquisition, development, and release of software for DOD tactical and/or combat platform OR Equivalent industry experience in automotive systems or complex industrial design and manufacturing.
