Marketcircle is looking for a Project manager for a 10-month mat leave contract role. This role's main responsibility is to ensure an effective and efficient Software Development Life Cycle by creating and maintaining a project plans, and managing deliverables. As an integral part of our team, you will enable us to deliver high quality products on time. The Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure organizational projects are delivered on time (including those outside of software development).

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to utilize project management platforms to create and track projects, tasks, key dates and phases from Kickoff to Deployment
  • Collaborate with technical resources on the team for key requirements and development timelines
  • Align project timelines with scope of work and formalize change management by working with both Development and Operations teams
  • Manage and host weekly project review meetings, daily status update huddles, project kickoffs and retrospectives where required
  • Track and manage project content pages and create new ones where needed for seamless knowledge transfer
  • Identify projects that are at risk and host meetings to make decisions with leadership and strategy team members as needed
  • Work with managers to coordinate project checkpoints, track weekly meeting minutes and ensure that all action items have been responded to
  • Act as a central point of contact for all project stakeholders and communicate project status
  • Attend third-party contractor calls as needed
  • Track and communicate key action items for the CTO regarding weekly communications with the development managers

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years Project Management experience
  • Experience working with Software Development Life Cycle is required.
  • Familiarity with project management best practices, such as the PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) is required.
  • SaaS experience a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong Communication - will need the ability to speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner
  • Ability to work with department heads cross functionally
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as a team
  • Ability to formulate and prioritize action items to achieve desired project goals
  • Experience with Confluence or Github an asset
