Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Software Procurement Project Manager to join our team, bringing a unique blend of software procurement expertise, project management acumen, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will drive strategic software procurement initiatives to strengthen the AFLCMC's EB Integrated Digital Environment, expand our portfolio, and support mission-critical needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual looking to make a meaningful impact within a dynamic team environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leveraging deep knowledge of software licensing models, including perpetual, subscription, floating, and consumption-based.
- Understanding a wide range of software types (GOTS, COTS, ELA) and categories, ensuring the technical nuances are accounted for in procurement strategies.
- Maintaining proficiency in license compliance and optimization, focusing on cost-effective and compliant acquisition strategies.
- Ensuring alignment with industry best practices, and positioning our team as a value-added reseller.
- Organizing, directing, and coordinating all aspects of software procurement projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Leading cross-functional teams effectively, managing resources and tasks across both large-scale and complex initiatives.
- Overseeing the planning, production, and execution of all activities associated with assigned delivery orders, maintaining accountability for project deliverables.
- Analyzing complex project-related challenges involving financial, technical, and logistical factors, developing innovative solutions that address each aspect.
- Interfacing effectively with government management, customer representatives, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication, alignment on goals, and expectations.
- Communicating project status, risks, and deliverables in a concise and effective manner, facilitating a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Leading teams on large projects or significant segments of complex projects, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment.
- Ensuring high standards of quality in deliverables, adhering to both customer expectations and organizational goals.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring team members and promoting skill development to enhance overall project delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field. PMP certification or equivalent project management experience is preferred
- 2+ years of proven experience with diverse licensing models and software types; expertise in license compliance and cost optimization
- Demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects, with a strong track record of on-time, on-budget delivery
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with government, customer representatives, and internal teams
- Ability to assess and resolve complex issues involving finance, scheduling, technology, and methodology
- Proficiency in both written and oral communication, capable of delivering clear and concise project updates.
- US Citizenship and active TS/SCI security clearance
This position is located on Eglin AFB, Florida.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000.00 - $110,000.00, commensurate on interview performance and experience.
