Starting base salary CAD $91,000 – 108,000 / USD 88,000 – 105,000

The role

The Software Engineer technical Lead lives and leads with the 360 values as they coach team members in the design, creation, and implementation of mission critical platforms and capabilities for some of the world's top brands. A subject matter expert within a team, the Software Engineering Technical Lead uses our values as an anchor to influence decisions, track and measure goals, formulate short-term plans, and report on progress for the team.

What you will be doing: 

• Design/build shared features.
• Build coherent designs with multiple components interacting across API or system boundaries.
• Establish and maintain development and coding standards.
• Push for continuous improvement and provide mentorship to other developers whilst advocating for regular pair programming and test-driven development.
• Initiate and participate in technical decisions affecting the larger development organization.
• Estimate, break down, and sequence large pieces of work for iterative delivery.
• Contribute to software architecture design, refactoring, and solutioning.
• Actively build a high-performing development team, including developing unit tests, participating in code reviews, and mentoring developers.
• Collaborate with Development, Product Management, and QA teams to identify requirements, design new features, estimate efforts, and deliver on the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Architecture team to adhere to Product & Engineering Tenets:
• Avoid throw-away work serving short-term or module-specific goals.
• Act as a liaison between the Enterprise Architecture team and Agile Software Delivery team, proposing solutions to the Architectural Review Board.
• Advocate for appropriate upgrades, replacements, and decommissioning options for modules, capabilities, and other services.

What you’ll bring to this role:

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience coding in .NET, C#
• git and GitHub
• Experience in AWS or Azure
• Understanding of SOLID principles
• Familiarity with secure development practices including OWASP Top 10
