As a Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant, you will be part of our Authorize.NET team to help design, enhance and build our products in an agile development environment. You will work with colleagues, who will support and challenge you daily. You will take leadership roles working on multiple projects building full stack development of real-time transactional services, RESTful APIs and VM/Container based distributed services that are highly available, secure, scalable, and resilient. We believe in self-managing Agile teams who build products end to end focusing on unit testing, code reviews and continuous integration for excellent code quality. You will be driving innovation that makes our products stand apart from our competitors and delight the customer with accelerated time-to-market delivery. This role demands proficiency in .NET/Java and UI frameworks, along with experience with relational and non-relational databases.

You’ll be the face of the team representing us in various technical forums.
You’ll help our customers achieve their business goals by understanding their requirements. You will build deep partnerships with product management to make sure that the products we are building deliver real value.
You’ll analyze business requirements and architect highly secure, robust, and scalable solutions.
You’ll drive internal proof of concept initiatives. When needed, quickly design and implement a prototype of a system or component with a proper architecture, and then lead or hand over to engineering team to implement.
You’ll build relationships with key architects across technology organizations and collaborate on promoting architectural best practices across technology.
You’ll introduce new technologies to build the next generation of Authorize.Net.
You’ll champion efforts to architect, design and implement various components of our global transaction processing systems.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
•You have proven experience leading teams that have delivered high-quality
large-scale enterprise class applications.
•You are a Java expert experienced with REST APIs and container-based
technologies. Strong on elegant coding, can write very solid prototypes or core
components quickly.
•Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
•Experience in UI technologies, jQuery/JavaScript standards including Redux,
React.js, HTML5, CSS4.
•Experience with frameworks like Asp.NET Framework, WCF, WPF, SpringBoot, hibernate, etc.
•Experience with Database like writing stored procedures, indexing, etc.
•You have strong experience with Agile development incorporating TDD, CI/CD
utilizing technologies such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, TFS, Chef, Sonar, JUnit, Mock frameworks.
•Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
•Experience building applications that use industry best practices for reliability,
availability, scalability, and operability.
•Understand and own component security analysis, including code and data
flow review. Collaborate with security team to implement and verify secure
coding techniques.
•While you’ll have the skill to see and understand the big picture, you’re able to
stay focused on the task at hand to achieve immediate goals.
•You have a strong work ethic to focus on our goals and lead by example.
•You have proven experience as a technical leader with ability to understand the requirements and independently, architect, design and build the solution.
