Software Engineering Manager (Malaysia)

• Lead and manage the software engineering team to develop and enhance innovative cybersecurity solutions.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and execution to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap.
• Ensure best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor and coach team members, promoting professional development and career growth.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least eight years of experience in professional software development.
• Experienced in software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experienced in software architectures.
• Experienced in software technologies such as NoSQL, key-value store, messaging system etc.
• Experienced in developing efficient algorithms/code.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
• At least two years of experience in managing a software development team.
• Experienced in guiding junior engineers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Prior experience in cybersecurity is a plus.
• Must be a Malaysian citizen or Malaysian Permanent Resident.
