THE POSITION
Our roster has an opening with your name on it

FanDuel is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our Wallet domain, who focus on payments, deposits, withdrawals, refunds and more, integrating with third party providers. 

This role will be heading up and responsible for a new team in this space, focusing on front-end development across the Wallet domain, ultimately creating a better look, feel and overall experience for our customers. You’ll be working with several backend teams in the Wallet space, so you’ll be a pro at context switching, dealing with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities. As a manager, you’ll support, mentor and coach engineers as they tackle tough technical challenges. 

You’ll be an Engineering Experience advocate with the ability to propose and promote initiatives that will not only make engineering easier but will harness a culture of continuous learning and improvement within Technology. You’ll bring innovative ideas and identify opportunities in maturing our engineering practice and be comfortable in sharing that practice with your colleagues and stakeholders driving engineering community collaboration.


THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Managing a team, working closely with senior engineers to deliver a technical vision.
  • Help scope and define new solutions to problems while influencing the roadmap and ensuring we delivery truly viable features and products.
  • Own the day-to-day managing of software development, where you are accountable to customer experience, project prioritization, software quality and system maintenance.
  • Measure, own and drive predictability through Operational Excellence and transparency through data and KPIs.
  • You will write tenets and clear documents around establishing best-practice processes.
  • Responsible for taking part in the recruitment process identifying the best candidates and providing a great candidate experience.
  • Proactively identify technology gaps and opportunities, mitigate risks created through complexity (technical and regulatory).
  • Work with your Product partner to build, prioritize & deliver your teams’ roadmap, communicating blockers and progress throughout the project lifecycle.

  • An extensive background in technology (preferably in the frontend space) delivering software as a manager.
  • Understanding of modern architectures, design patterns, and platform nuances.
  • Experience in shipping high quality products and services within web and mobile spaces.
  • Demonstrated abilities driving operational excellence and best practices.
  • Understanding of various Agile flavors and which situations are most appropriate to use them.
  • Good citizenship, stakeholder, and team management.

The applicable salary range for this position is $133,000 - $185,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
