Pipedrive is hiring a

Software Engineering Intern in DevOps

Tallinn, Estonia
Full-Time
We believe it takes great people to create a great product. That’s why our team lives our company values, and we hire based on them, too. Since 2010, Pipedrive has been on a mission to support sales and marketing teams with easy-to-use, powerful tools that make everyday work faster and easier. Today, our cloud-based software is trusted by over 100,000 companies and used in 179 countries. We have grown from a five-person team to a truly international company of over 850+ people, representing more than 50 nationalities, with ten offices distributed across Europe and the US. In 2020, Pipedrive received a majority investment from Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm that invests exclusively in enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses, making Pipedrive the fifth unicorn from Estonia.

We’re seeking a software engineering intern to join our DevOps tooling team for six months, based in our Tartu or Tallinn office. You’ll be involved in the development and maintenance of CI/CD tooling, of test environments, and of other tools designed to increase developer productivity and experience.

If you’re someone who strongly believes that the right automation can solve most software development problems and are eager to learn, we’d love to meet you!

Your new adventure:

  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go, and can engage in conversations beyond the basic "Hello, World!"
  • A degree in IT
  • Fluency in English
  • A strong can-do attitude, good communication skills and openness to feedback
  • A curious mind and a thirst for knowledge
  • An understanding of automating tasks is a plus
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools is a plus

Does this sound like you?

  • You possess coding skills in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go, and can engage in conversations beyond the basic "Hello, World!"
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in IT and are fluent in English
  • You are an adventurous explorer in the realm of technology, always pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers. Your backpack is packed with curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, and a can-do attitude
  • You fearlessly navigate the terminal – in fact, you've mastered the ancient skill of exiting Vim without needing to reboot the system
  • You thrive on automating tasks to make machines work for you
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools is advantageous

Our day-to-day tools:

  • GitHub, GitHub Copilot
  • GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Kubernetes (EKS), Argo CD, Harbor, Helm
  • Colima, DevSpace
  • Prometheus, Grafana
  • Node.js, Go, Bash
  • MySQL
  • Linux
  • AWS

Why Pipedrive?

  • A value-driven work environment where people come first
  • A lively bunch of colleagues from over 50 different countries, with offices in Tartu, Tallinn, Lisbon, Prague, London, Dublin, New York, Florida, Riga and Berlin
  • A team serious about getting things done while not taking ourselves too seriously
  • A world-class working environment full of perks like parties, craft workshops, snacks, and, of course, office dogs
  • Flexible working hours as long as you’re there for your team members
  • Freedom to execute your ideas with a passionate and motivated team supporting you
  • Lots of room for personal and career development, with internal and external training opportunities
  • Competitive salary and bonus system and all the benefits you’d expect from a great employer (health and accident insurance, health days, a quarterly contribution to sports, in-house coaches, employee discounts and more)

  • First internship program feedback:
Our very first internship program kicked off in the autumn of 2023. Here is a quote from one of the interns after completing the internship.

"DevOps internship in Pipedrive is a great chance to obtain hands-on experience with the most comprehensive practices and tools used in this field. When applying to the position I underestimated the amount of things I would learn and try out, ranging from multiple CI/CD solutions to complex in-house tools meant for development environments and policy checks. Another great bonus is that from the very beginning, you become a part of the already established DevOps Tooling tribe which consists of experienced engineers who will be supportive and assistive through the internship.
To sum up, I would definitely recommend trying out this program if you are willing to bootstrap your career in the DevOps field as smoothly and productively as possible".
