The role IFS A&D F1 Software Engineer exists within the Unified Support organization/division. By being a part of a shift operation, a F1 SE will contribute towards providing 24x7x365 support to IFS customers across the globe within the A&D vertical.
As F1 Software Engineer, you will be responsible for foundation and technology related issues reported by the customers. This role involves collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure problem-solution fit, which ultimately lead towards customer success. You will also play a crucial role in development and maintenance of IFS's products and internal systems.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in debugging and SQL skills.
- Take ownership of foundation and technology issues of customers and provide end-to-end resolution.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction at all times, whilst adhering to SLA, OLA, and KPI targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Utilize technical expertise to provide innovative solutions.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge and be updated with the latest industry trends and advancements.
- Accurately analyze and interpret customer’s requirements.
- Willing to learn new IFS related technologies and new trends while seeking knowledge to stay updated.
- Create and update relevant SOPs, FAQs, and other documentation to address known issues, workarounds.
- Provide RCA for long term, complex or major customer incidents.
- Be a strong team player, self-driven, able to learn new technologies and apply them to the product.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Required Technical Skills
- A university degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or similar.

2+ years’ experience in IFS foundation and technology areas
- Experience in modern ticket/service desk tooling such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Desk, or a similar tool.
- Strong understanding of the Aurena Client Framework and Enterprise Explorer Client Framework.
- Hands-on experience with Authentication & Authorization in IFS.
- Solid knowledge of IFS Custom Object Framework, Entity, and Projection configuration.
- Proficiency with OData Provider, API Explorer, API Documentation, and the Translation Framework.
- Experience with the PLSQL Framework, Background Processing, and the Java Server Framework.
- Knowledge in C#, .Net framework, Java, Oracle Database, and Scripting
Added advantages.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized technologies (Docker, etc.) is a plus.
- Exposure to GIT, Bitbucket, GitLab, and Azure Pipelines
