Role Overview
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our suite of Debit applications. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and implement scalable test automation solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing processes.
In this role, you will also be responsible for reviewing and enhancing our existing Test Frameworks, developing, and executing detailed testing plans, and addressing any anomalies or issues that arise. You will work closely with various teams within the organization to ensure that our software applications meet the highest standards of quality, usability, and performance.
The ideal candidate for this role should possess robust programming skills, with extensive experience in languages such as Java and JavaScript. You should demonstrate proficiency in writing efficient and maintainable code, debugging, and problem-solving within these languages. In-depth knowledge of the latest Java and JavaScript frameworks, libraries, and best practices is essential. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms in the context of Java and JavaScript.

Essential Functions
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be entrusted with the design and development of scalable test automation solutions that cater to our suite of Debit applications. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring these applications are robust and reliable.
Your responsibilities will extend to the examination and enhancement of our current Test Frameworks. Through a detailed review, you will identify potential improvements and carry out the necessary changes to boost the efficiency and efficacy of these frameworks.
In addition, you will be involved in the evaluation of requirements, determining the optimal testing strategy based on these assessments. You will develop and execute detailed testing plans, ensuring any anomalies or issues that arise are promptly and effectively addressed.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or Technology related field or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

• Strong hands-on experience on UI Test automation tools like Cypress & Selenium.
• Strong hands-on experience on API Test automation tools like Karate and Rest Assured.
• Strong hand on programing experience using languages like Java and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of non-relational databases like Mongo.
• Working knowledge of Containers.
• Excellent knowledge of REST APIs and SOAP based Web Services.
• Experience with Test management tools like Jira, ALM, Share point & Confluence.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues related to code and infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of various test and development methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
• Strong understanding of Agile, scrum and Quality Assurance processes and methodologies.
• Experience in creating QA related documents like Test Plan and Test Findings.
• 6 or more years of hands-on experience in building highly automated test frameworks.
• General business knowledge of financial systems.
• Good understanding and knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.
• 6 plus years of strong technical experience with web applications and web services.
• Experience in Browser testing.
• Usability testing and Accessibility testing a plus.
• Ability to write and execute SQL queries to validate data is required.
• Tandem / Connex Advantage and/or Mainframe experience is a plus.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 117,700.00 to 170,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
