Make world a better place! Yes indeed! Shield is a team of engineers specializing in security and protecting the flow of customers’ contents so that information doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Box Shield’s mission is to protect the flow of information while delivering frictionless user experience so that Box is the tool of choice for secureCloud Content Management. Our customers trust Box to keep their valuable contents safe. Shield does that by detection threats using various machine learning based anomaly detection algorithms and applying restriction on content using classifications and access policies. 

The team develops infrastructure and machine learning based engine to detect anomalies in patterns, create alerts out of them and provide remediation and insights to the end user. As new anomalies are identified it’s important that the signals are presented in a way that's meaningful. We're looking for engineers who are excited about designing and building new capabilities for Shield and ready to jump on to any part of the development stack with initial focus on the React based front end stack.

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Own end to end delivery of customer facing product features.
• Collaborate with product manager and UX designer to define use cases and user experience that will go into the creation of UI mock. 
• Implement and deliver pixel perfect design using React and its ecosystem.
• Work with backend and ML engineers to understand various parts of the stack (ML, Backend, UI) to be able to jump onto any stack when needed
• Work with teammates to foster solid engineering principles and represent our engineering values.

WHO YOU ARE 

• BS with 2+ years of experience or MS with 1+ years of experience in full stack development.
• At least 1+ years of experience using React and its toolchain. Solid understanding of core Javascript is a must. 
• You have worked on at least one server side language (C++/Java/Node/Python/Scala) and you want to do full stack development delivering end to end features.
• You are passionate about end user experience and think about every aspect of a feature from a user's action on the browser to communication with the backend and storing/retrieving data. 
• Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design are must.

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
