About the team
The Reconciliation Platform team plays a critical role in Stripe's payment processing system, which handles hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments annually. Our team owns the post-transaction system responsible for reconciling money, tracing the end-to-end flow of funds, and ensuring Stripe can close its books and meet financial obligations to merchants and partners.
Reconciliation is essential for running a payment business, and given Stripe's significant transaction volume, engineers on our team have the opportunity to:
- Build the next generation Reconciliation platform that integrates global card network reports with internal payment data for settlement, dispute, and cost processes.
- Leverage advanced data engineering skills to handle complex financial data at scale.
- Develop tooling suites that provide end-to-end traceability of money throughout the entire Stripe system.
What you’ll do:
You will have an opportunity to play a hands-on role in significantly advancing our current platforms to be significantly more efficient and resilient:
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and data interfaces across Stripe’s engineering teams
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
- Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
