Pricing and availability (availability: think vacancy calendar) features on airbnb.com are visible, familiar and tangible to our guests. Our team owns pricing and availability end-to-end, customer-facing and backend-compute both. Pricing and availability anchors the guest booking flow from search to product page to checkout, which requires low latency, high qps, tier zero computation. We also collaborate closely with design/product to rapidly ship end-to-end product experiences with each release.

As a Software Engineer in Pricing and Availability, you’ll be responsible for building efficient and reusable backend components, with high quality, while also maintaining and improving performance of existing systems. Our projects often span stakeholders and peer teams so collaboration and communication skills are important. Each individual brings their own unique skill set, experiences, thought leadership and technical expertise to solve these technical challenges for Airbnb.
