The Team

We are a team of talented individuals who are passionate about the products we build for our customers. We build and own the delivery of the API’s in GBG’s Documents and Biometrics, API’s that help with document verification and digital trust. We are Cross functional team who pride ourselves on our collaborative spirit. We value every team member’s expertise, and each member contributes to our collective success.  

The Role

As a Software Engineer you will contribute to all stages of the software delivery life cycle - from inception of the ideas to delivering our product to production. You will collaborate regularly with members of your own team, as well as those from other teams and communicate your ideas and proposals in a clear fashion. You will Continually learn, grow and develop your skills.  

What you will do

  • Develop, engineer, and integrate components using the selected technologies and design patterns.  
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to propose effective solutions and contribute to design authority boards.
  • Address known security vulnerabilities and apply security best practices.
  • Contribute to documentation efforts.
  • Provide technical support for components.
  • Debug software issues and implement effective solutions to those issues
  • Collaborate with team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance.  

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency in C# .NET Core and associated technical frameworks  
  • Understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.  
  • Experience working in agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with continuous delivery practices.  
  • Experienced in unit testing, mocking, stubbing and test-driven design approaches using xUnit.  
  • Experience of REST APIs
  • Proficiency in using Git for source control.
  • Good communication skills, highly organised and able to manage time effectively with a strong attention to detail
  • The ability to stay updated on the latest languages, tools, frameworks, and paradigms within the industry and the willingness to promote the adoption of emerging technologies.
  • A bonus to have experience of; working in a microservices environment. AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, CI/CD deployment pipelines, knowledge of structured logging, preferably using the ELK stack.
