About the role:
- Create appropriate data integration solutions to support customer’s data reporting and analytics needs by leveraging a variety of cloud-based database and data integration technologies including services within Amazon AWS, Snowflake, and Spark
- Collaborate with various engineering teams, product management, and design to execute a diverse range of engineering challenges
- Contribute to product architecture to ensure seamless development of new product features and architect infrastructure to support a fast-growing user base
- Be directly responsible for multiple components within the platform
- Share your thoughts on product features, the user experience, or literally anything else across the company
About you:
- 2+ years developing business solutions with a strongly typed OOP language like Java, Kotlin, C# or Python (at Hearsay you’ll work with Python)
- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, PostgreSQL or any other SQL Server
- Solid understanding of relational databases (tables, queries, data types, indices), understanding schema design and data flow between systems
- You've got experience working across the technical stack and building systems that scale
- Experience developing REST-based APIs using Microservice architecture
- Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and React or Angular
- Ability to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly
- You have strong opinions about what good code is, and can make persuasive arguments to influence your team (and the rest of the company)
- Passionate to design and understand how the data flows through systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in software development
- Ability to communicate in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
