Within the Flashtalking Engineering organization, the Ad Serving team maintains the most important, highest revenue generating applications. Our team members play an important role in developing, managing, and scaling revenue-critical applications that handle billions of requests a day, with key
focuses on innovation and high-quality engineering.
As an experienced Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in advancing the software and the underlying platform that large global clients rely on, who utilize our ad serving, creative, and attribution offerings.

What You Will Do:
- Document, plan, and execute small-to-medium scale projects with minimal-to-no supervision
- Work closely with the team to review code and share best practices
- Maintain a heightened attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and troubleshooting capability
- Be able to work across multiple projects that may span different languages & technologies
- Identify areas for improvement and how to best mitigate risk in given scenarios
- Maintain documentation for our internal knowledge base
- Participate in on-call rotation for applications, systems, and infrastructure developed and/or maintained by the Ad Serving team
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of experience with software engineering, SDLC principles, and version control(Git)
- Proven track record of development in JVM-based languages such as Java and Kotlin
- Familiarity with the tooling and frameworks surrounding JVM-based ecosystem(compilation, package management, etc.)
- Strong understanding of design patterns
- Experience with RESTful services and scalable, load-balanced HTTP architecture
- Ownership of in-house application projects from birth to development to decommissioning
- Working proficiency inother languages such asGo,andPHP
- Knowledge of containerizationplatforms such as Docker
- Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins
- Working knowledge of AWS services
- Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL
- Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code (such as Terraform)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be able to work in a remote, distributed team
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications
- Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
