About the team: CEO Stefanos was the global Head of Messenger at Facebook. CTO Yandong was CTO of Strava. Other founding members have experience working for Google, Facebook, Uber and other startups.

Connectly is on a mission to create a best-in-class conversational commerce solution. We're in search of an experienced software engineer who can contribute significantly across the entire machine learning lifecycle and develop practical ML applications. In this role, you'll work on our conversational AI bots, enhance our e-commerce search and retrieval platform, and refine our product recommendation systems. Your key responsibility will be to bring our machine learning capabilities to life, directly impacting our customers' experience.

This is a hybrid role and we'll collaborate in our San Francisco office 3 days a week. Please be aware that due to the low success rate of the H1B visa lottery, we are unable to sponsor new visa applications.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience as a software engineer
  • A strong programming background with a lot of hands-on experience in building large-scale production systems
  • A strong algorithmic background and like intellectual challenges and solving complex problems
  • Good understanding of machine learning fundamentals like regression, classification, ranking, neural networks, and sequence models for text/speech
  • Experience with ML(transformer models)
  • Must have BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science
  • Bonus: familiarity with common ML Ops tooling/platforms (i.e.) Weights and Biases, Anyscale, Sagemaker, etc...
  • Bonus: familiarity with the AWS ecosystem.
  • Bonus: past projects building agentic language chains

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Connectly’s state-of-the-art AI Marketing platform
  • End-to-end responsibility from developing a proof of concept to production
  • Own the whole ML life-cycle, define projects and drive excellence across teams
  • Work alongside the world’s leading engineers and researchers to solve some of the most exciting generation and prediction problems
  • Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, data regression, and rules based models
  • Experimenting with new techniques for recommender systems
  • Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create effective feature roadmap
