Requisites Education: MCA / Computer Engineering Overall Experience 2 to 4 years – (in Reporting tools) Industry / Technology background: Reporting - Jaspersoft - On Contract
Job location – Mumbai / Bangalore
Role Summary: The candidate would be working with a highly motivated development team with strong hands-on experience and would be responsible for ongoing development of application, task execution, and new development activities. The candidate must have essential technical skills, be good at logical reasoning and participate in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and designing and configuring existing systems.
Technologies Hands-on Experience (Years)
1. Jaspersoft Version 6 or above 2 +
2. Jaspersoft AD HOC reports using Jaspersoft Studio 2+
3. Jaspersoft Stand alone reports using Jaspersoft Server 2+
4. SQL server 2012 & above* 2+
5. Oracle v11 2+
6. *Total database experience to be 2+ yrs in Oracle or SQL Server
7. Essential Personal Skills
8. Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with other team members.
9. Develop Software to supplied User Story/ requirements within agree timescale & with minimum supervision.
10. Is a good team player.
Responsibilities · Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks.
· Create Jaspersoft reports as per the requirements.
· Develop technical specifications and architecture.
· Test Jaspersoft reports.
· Review and refactor for performance optimization.
· Deploy fully functional applications.
· Support junior developers’ work.
· Document development and operational procedures Overall Project/Task description
· Environment Setup Skill · Exposure and/or usage of at least one estimation methodology
· Hands-on experience in translating user stories to code
· Develop software to supplied user stories within agreed timescales
· Experience in creating Unit Test cases · Experience of performing impact analysis
· Troubleshooting abilities · Suggest & implement improvements in order to optimise performance of the application.
· Experience to deploy fully functional applications
· Support junior developers’ work · Document development and operational procedures
· Communication skills o Raise issues, risks and escalations relating to slippages of development tasks o Effective verbal and written communication with offshore and onshore · Problem solving skills o Contribute to solution to issues and risks o Work closely with the TL/PM to establish and adhere to agreed standards and processes
