About the role
As an iOS Developer in our Mobile Apps stream, you’ll be working on our popular SEEK iOS app, tand the internal tools that help automate and deliver high quality experiences frequently. We are looking for talented engineers with a strong passion for mobile app design that share our philosophy for high quality software engineering.
Responsibilities
With commercial based experience in native iOS app development, the role will be responsible for:
- Delivering best in class native experiences for our SEEK iOS App aligned with SEEK’s strategic priorities.
- Building high quality systems following SEEK development practices & principles.
- Contributing to maintenance of platform health, ensuring our systems are secure, reliable, resilient and cost effective.
- Supporting the design & delivery of back-end experience APIs.
- Improving our tooling to help the team become more efficient at what we do.
- Actively participate in team ceremonies such as planning, goal setting, retrospectives and stand-ups.
- Participating in our paid after-hours support roster (when needed).
Essential Skills and Experience
- 3 years of experience working in an agile cross functional team and development organisation delivering high quality software in an agile environment.
- 3 years of experience maintaining and regularly releasing features for a commercial scale iOS app.
- 3 years of experience developing apps with Swift including user interface development.
- Used agile development methodologies and practices such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, test driven development (TDD), behaviour-driven development (BDD), pairing, code reviews, scrum, Kanban, and lean.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles and patterns in Swift.
- Strong sense of software craftsmanship: writes clean, testable, effective, and communicable code.
- Experience integrating with backend services.

- Comfortable problem solving using detailed analysis while dealing with uncertainty.
- Clear communicator with open minded collaboration.
- Self-aware with continuous improvement mindset.
- Team player.
Desirable skills and experience:
- Experience designing backend services for apps including GraphQL would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Contributes to maintaining continuous delivery pipelines using current practices, patterns, & tooling.
- Supports DevOps as a culture.
- Comfortable challenging the status quo to ensure solutions deliver value to customers.
- Ability to handle competing priorities, identifying trade-offs and manage stakeholder expectations
