As an Engineering Intern at Merlin Labs, you’ll work alongside engineers and pilots to push the boundaries of autonomy and aviation. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience in designing, testing, and implementing autonomous systems and software within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This opportunity is based in our Boston office.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of software and autonomous systems that support Merlin Labs’ aviation technology.
- Assist in creating algorithms and models for autonomous flight dynamics, navigation, or data integration.
- Conduct research and data analysis to address complex technical problems and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and refine prototypes for real-world applications.
- Document and communicate project updates, technical findings, and insights to the engineering team and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C++) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work well in a team.
- A passion for autonomy and innovation in the aerospace and aviation industries.
