Ready to be pushed beyond what you think you’re capable of?

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world. It’s a massive, ambitious opportunity that demands the best of us, every day, as we build the emerging onchain platform — and with it, the future global financial system.

To achieve our mission, we’re seeking a very specific candidate. We want someone who is passionate about our mission and who believes in the power of crypto and blockchain technology to update the financial system. We want someone who is eager to leave their mark on the world, who relishes the pressure and privilege of working with high caliber colleagues, and who actively seeks feedback to keep leveling up. We want someone who will run towards, not away from, solving the company’s hardest problems.

Our work culture is intense and isn’t for everyone. But if you want to build the future alongside others who excel in their disciplines and expect the same from you, there’s no better place to be.

Coinbase is seeking interns to join our team for a 6-month program running from May to November 2025. In this role, you’ll help enhance products like Coinbase.com, Custody, Wallet, and NFTs, while also supporting APAC expansion initiatives. You’ll tackle large-scale, complex technical challenges and contribute to systems that make cryptocurrency accessible globally (across web, iOS, and Android platforms). This role involves operating real-time applications with high-frequency, low-latency updates, ensuring security from fraud, creating seamless user experiences, and managing robust, cloud-based infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to shape and execute our technical roadmap each quarter.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets customer needs.
  • Tackle unique, large-scale, complex technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Experience in any object-oriented programming language (gained through coursework, personal projects, or work).
  • Passion for building user-focused experiences.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to personal growth.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Golang, MongoDB, AWS, Docker, Postgres, Ruby, or Rails.
  • Experience developing mobile applications using React Native.
