Our customers share and collaborate on sensitive information stored in Box including personally identifiable information, intellectual property, and more. With cyber threats on the rise, IT security teams need to ensure that such sensitive information is not leaked from their Box instance. That’s why Box has security at its core and why Box Shield is on a mission to tackle challenges of building information security products that work on petabyte scale. Since Box Shield was launched to enable frictionless security, we have consistently expanded this advanced security solution by introducing new capabilities and enhancing existing ones to address a wider range of high-value use cases. Box Shield has become the fastest growing add-on product in Box’s history and has been widely adopted amongst our largest enterprise customers, securing their sensitive content in Box while enabling frictionless collaboration and workflow. To continue to help our customers address their challenges around content security in a frictionless manner, we will be building a set of even more advanced security capabilities, e.g., infusing AI into automated classification, enhancing device security posture check, extending our security premise to protect sensitive content down to endpoint, and more, leading to the continuous expansion of our security teams.

Who You Are

3+ years of professional software development experience
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
Be proficient in Java, Node.js and other modern software development language
Have proficient knowledge of software design and testing principles
Assess, communicate and complete project milestones with manager and team members in a time sensitive manner
Adapt to the technical and stylistic needs of integrations and projects as they occur; including technical tools, programming languages, technical limitations, and product requirements
Review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions
Be the technical expert and provide guidance to junior engineers on best practices, coding standards, and complex technical issues
Provide prompt product support when deep technical expertise is required from the Product Support organization
Participate in the production on-call rotation with the team members

You will be expected to

Attend and engage in stand ups and maintain sprint task statuses in issue tracking tool daily
Attend team, project, and manager 1:1 meetings weekly
Collaborate with Product Management to help refine requirements and break down complex projects into meaningful, deliverable units
Work collaboratively with other engineers, team members, across teams, and with partner organizations
Respond to technical and behavioral feedback from manager and peers
Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture
Represent Box Poland internally and externalls

Box lives its values, with community and in-person collaboration being a core part of our culture. Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
